About Ops

Pizza restaurant and wine bar

Ops is a pizza restaurant in New York, New York. It is listed at 176 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003, which places it among the local businesses of New York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under wine bar, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (646) 755-8565. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, opsbk.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 78 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in New York.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Ops was a PLEASANT surprise. (Pardon the fact I was so hungry and forgot to take pictures of the pizza 🀣) Went on a random sunday afternoon after a workout and there was no wait. The service was attentive and sweet. If you’re a blackbird diner, they have blackbird! Loved the thin crust pizza (for those hawaiian lovers, it’s so tasty) and the regular style they offer as well. The cocktail in the picture was their passion fruit blue caracao one and it was so great i ordered it again! They have a great non alcoholic selection too, especially the patagonia ale pictured. Next time I will do a bud and amaro, which is a steal for 10 bucks. Salad was very good (green goddess dressing) and I don’t particularly like olives but my girlfriend does and I tried one and they were pretty scrumptious as well (the massive amounts of fresh olive oil helped!). Overall great experience. Kudos to this east village restaurant. I look forward to coming back.

The pops is for me is one of the top 3 pies in NYC. The ingredients are top of the line. Across all pizza, the crust is the differentiator for me. Ops is crispy, wonderfully light, easy to digest, and most of all flavorful. The perfect vehicle for all of the superb pizza combos here. I usually order take out from this location. I've had most of the pizza on the menu. The pops is one of the best pizles on the planet. Definitely try the specials that change ingredients by style or by what's in season. I've had the Rojo pizza which is covered in mortadella. It's a great pizza I do miss that it doesn't have pistachios in it but if you need a hit of mortadella it's really good. The iron age with marinated mushroom is fantastic. The tavern style pizza with anchovies is unapologetic. Its good if you need a strong batch of anchovies in your life. Otherwise share because it can be too much salt in one sitting. Skip the cianfotta. It's bland. The Mamma is good, however the meatballs can be dry. The tonno is a flavor bomb. It's super rich in flavor. The salads are phenomenally fresh. If you love greens then you will be very happy here. The natural wine list here is not as extensive as the l

Fantastic spot. The food is excellent β€” the Ops salad is especially creative, with a new twist each day. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the dishes come out quickly. The pizza menu isn’t large, but every item is outstanding in quality and has a nice blend of ingredients.

Amazing crispy pizza with fabulous toppings - we got the taverna cheese, pops, and mama. Favorites were the pops and taverna. They’re still getting started so the wait time was pretty long for the pizza but totally worth the wait. Amazing selection of natural wine as well. Highly recommend! Reservations recommended. Update: tried the bread and olives and mozzarella. Great appetizers! Also tried the rojo - very yummy. Wished they had extra peppers for a stronger flavor but still delicious.
